A beautiful lip is rarely about volume. It’s about balance, shape and the way it sits within the whole face.
When a lip looks “done,” the issue is almost never the amount of product alone — it’s proportion. Lips have an ideal relationship to each other (the lower fuller than the upper, roughly 1 to 1.6) and to the rest of the face. Ignore that, and even a small amount looks wrong.
Structure before size
We treat the lip as architecture first: definition of the border, support at the corners, hydration through the body. Often the goal of a session isn’t a bigger lip at all — it’s a balanced one, with the volume you already have simply placed where it belongs.
The best lip work is the kind people compliment without being able to name.
Fractions of a millilitre matter here more than anywhere. We build slowly, review in motion, and would always rather you return for a touch-up than leave with too much. A lip you have to explain is a lip we placed wrong.
The product matters as much as the plan
Lips move, stretch and press constantly, so they need a soft, flexible hyaluronic-acid gel — not the firm product used to build a cheek or jaw. Chosen well, it feels like your own lip, not a separate object sitting inside it. Every hyaluronic-acid filler we use is also reversible: if you ever dislike a result, or it settles unevenly, it can be dissolved with an enzyme rather than waited out.
How long it lasts
Lip filler typically lasts six to twelve months, though the mobile centre of the lip metabolises product faster than most areas, so the front of the lip often softens first. Many people top up once or twice a year. There is no obligation to maintain it — untouched, a lip simply returns, gradually, to how it began.
Who a lip treatment suits — and when to wait
A first, subtle session suits most healthy adults who want more definition or balance. We would pause, though, if you have an active cold sore (treatment can trigger a flare — tell us if you are prone to them, as a preventive tablet may help), an infection near the mouth, or an event within two weeks, since bruising and swelling need room to settle. Honesty about timing is part of the result.
